Jason Satchell, CFP®

Instructor

Dr. Jason Satchell, CFP® is a Teaching Assistant Professor of Finance at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate corporate finance. He is also the founder of Luxora Financial, the parent company of Foresight Wealth Management, a registered investment advisory firm providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management services, and Foresight Finance Academy, a financial education company dedicated to making practical financial knowledge accessible beyond the university classroom.

Prior to joining the University of Illinois, Dr. Satchell served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at Northwest Missouri State University. Before entering academia, he built his career in the asset management industry at Waddell & Reed, rising from data analyst to Head of Portfolio Construction, where he led a team of analysts and oversaw portfolio construction efforts for the firm's advisory platform.

Dr. Satchell earned his Doctor of Business Administration and M.S. in Finance from Creighton University and his MBA from Mississippi State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a contributing author with McGraw Hill, developing applied learning content.
